Jawlaha Box — your errands and shopping, to your door

Need something from the pharmacy, the grocery or the bakery, or have an errand you cannot get to? A Jawlaha driver buys it or collects it and brings it to you — in Latakia and Homs, cash on delivery.

Jawlaha Box runs through the Jawlaha app — write what you need and set your budget cap; we handle the rest.

What is Jawlaha Box?

Jawlaha Box is Jawlaha’s errand and personal-shopping service. Instead of stopping what you are doing and going out for one item, you write what you need and where from in the app, and a Jawlaha driver takes it from there: goes to the shop, buys what you asked for, and delivers it to your door.

The idea is simple. If it is for sale in your city, or if it is an object that needs carrying from one place to another, Jawlaha Box can bring it: a pharmacy, a grocery, a bakery, a butcher, a hardware shop — or one particular shop you know by name and want to buy from specifically.

Payment is cash on delivery: you pay the actual purchase amount, exactly as it appears on the shop’s receipt, plus the Jawlaha service fee. No cards, no wallets, nothing paid up front.

Where we shop for you

The pharmacy

Medicine for you or someone at home, or baby and personal-care items — collected and delivered.

Grocery and supermarket

Whatever the house has run out of: bread, milk, eggs, vegetables, cleaning supplies — a full list in one order.

Bakery and sweets

Fresh bread from the oven, or sweets when guests turn up unannounced — from the shop you actually like.

Butcher and greengrocer

Meat, chicken and vegetables from your usual shop, in the cut and quantity you write in the order.

Hardware shops

A screw, a key, the one missing part for a repair at home — instead of a whole trip across town.

Any shop you name

Write the shop’s name, its area and what you want from it, and the driver goes to that shop specifically.

How is this different from ordering food?

Restaurants listed on Jawlaha have their own place in the app: you browse the menu and order directly. Jawlaha Box is for everything outside that list — shops that are not on the platform, places that have no menu at all, and errands that involve no shopping whatsoever. Put simply: if the restaurant is on Jawlaha, order it from the restaurants section; if it is anything else, that is Jawlaha Box.

How to send a driver

1

Write what you need

Add the items you want and which shop or area they come from, with anything that matters: type, size, brand, or an acceptable substitute.

2

Set your budget cap

You write the highest amount you are willing to spend on the shopping, and the driver will not go past it. If prices come in higher, they contact you before buying.

3

The driver buys and delivers

A Jawlaha driver goes to the place, buys or collects what you asked for, and delivers it to the address you pinned on the map.

4

Pay cash on delivery

You pay the actual purchase amount plus the service fee when the driver arrives — and the receipt comes with them.

The budget cap is yours to set

The thing people worry about with buy-on-my-behalf services is not knowing what they will end up paying. So Jawlaha Box starts from a number you write: the budget cap is the most you agree to spend on the shopping in this order.

The driver does not go past that cap. If prices at the shop turn out higher than you estimated, or an item is not in stock, they contact you before buying so you decide: raise the cap, swap the item, or drop that part of the order.

And at the end you pay the actual purchase amount — not a flat guess — plus the Jawlaha service fee, which the app shows you before you confirm.

And it is not only shopping

Jawlaha Box runs errands too — anything that needs a person to go from one place to another on your behalf:

Collecting papers or documents from an office
Returning something you left at someone’s place
Dropping keys or an envelope to someone across town
Picking up an order that is already waiting at a shop
Taking a gift or a package to a relative or a friend
Buying the thing you forgot while you are out

Jawlaha Box FAQ

What is Jawlaha Box?

+
Jawlaha Box is an errand and personal-shopping service inside your city. From the app you ask a Jawlaha driver to buy things for you from any shop — a pharmacy, a grocery, a bakery, or a shop you name — or to collect an item and deliver it to you. It is available in Latakia and Homs, and you pay cash on delivery.

How is a Jawlaha Box order priced?

+
You pay the actual purchase amount, exactly as charged by the shop, plus the Jawlaha service fee. The service fee is shown in the app before you confirm the order, and you pay the whole amount in cash when your items arrive.

What if the shopping costs more than the budget I set?

+
The driver never goes past the budget cap you wrote. If prices are higher than you expected, they contact you before buying so you can decide whether to raise the cap, change the order, or drop part of it.

What if an item I asked for is out of stock?

+
The driver contacts you before buying to tell you it is unavailable, and you choose: a substitute, or removing it from the order. The driver never picks a replacement on your behalf without your approval.

Can I order from more than one shop in the same request?

+
Write the items and the places you want in the order, with any detail that helps the driver, and the Jawlaha team will confirm with you what can be done in a single trip.

Does Jawlaha Box cover restaurant orders?

+
No — restaurants listed on Jawlaha are ordered directly from the restaurants section of the app, with a proper menu and clear prices. Jawlaha Box is for everything outside that: shops that are not on the platform, errands, and non-food items.

Can I request an errand with no shopping at all?

+
Yes. You can ask a driver to collect an item, a document or a set of keys from one place and deliver it somewhere else in the city, with no purchase involved — just write the pickup and drop-off details in the order.

Is Jawlaha Box available in Damascus?

+
Not yet. Jawlaha Box operates in Latakia and Homs today, and reaches Damascus when delivery launches there. Jawlaha Gifts, however, does deliver to Damascus today for anyone sending a gift from outside Syria.
