Groceries now have their own tab in the Jawlaha app. Instead of asking someone to stop by the shop, you browse the grocery stores near you item by item, with photos and prices, add what you need to the basket and confirm — exactly the way you order a meal from a restaurant.

The order goes straight to the shop, the shop puts it together, and the nearest Jawlaha driver collects it and brings it to your door. No cards and no online payment: you pay cash on delivery, and the total is on screen before you confirm.

The service is new, and we are adding grocery shops in Latakia and Homs as they join. If your usual shop is not there yet, it most likely has not signed up — until it does, Jawlaha Box covers the gap: describe what you want and a driver buys it from any shop in your city.

Grocery shops are live inside the areas Jawlaha covers in Latakia and Homs, and open in Damascus when the service launches there. The list grows every time another shop joins, so it is worth a second look if you cannot find what you need today.

How is this different from Jawlaha Box?

In the Grocery tab you browse a shop that is listed on Jawlaha, with its own products and prices, so the total is known before you confirm. Jawlaha Box is for everything that is not listed: you describe what you want, set a maximum budget, and the driver buys it for you — you then pay the actual purchase amount plus a service fee.

How do I pay for a grocery order?

Cash on delivery, the same as a restaurant order. No card and no online payment is needed, and the total is shown before you confirm.

Why do no grocery shops appear in my area?

The service is new and shops are being added gradually, so there may not be one near you yet. The app only shows shops that deliver to your city and area — and if you know a shop owner, point them at the business signup page.

Can I order groceries and food in the same order?

No. Each order comes from a single shop or restaurant, because the driver collects from one place and brings it straight to you. You can of course place two separate orders at the same time.

Who sets the prices shown in the app?

The shop owner adds their products and sets and updates their prices from the merchant dashboard, and the price is shown before you add an item to the basket. Delivery charges appear on the confirmation screen before you place the order.
